LUFS
Loudness Units Full-Scale — the broadcast and streaming standard for perceived loudness.
LUFS is the ITU-R BS.1770 / EBU R128 loudness measure. It applies a K-weighting filter that approximates human hearing, then averages mean-square loudness with absolute and relative gating. Spotify normalizes to −14 LUFS, Apple Music and Twitch to −16, podcasts to around −16, broadcast TV to −23. Mixing engineers target these per-platform.
