My PC is slow.

Press start. We hit CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and network in sequence and give you a verdict on which subsystem is dragging the rest down.

    • Startup app audit

Open Task Manager → Startup tab (Windows) or System Settings → Login Items (macOS). Disable anything you don't actively use. Adobe, Spotify, OneDrive, Discord, Steam all add weight even when minimised.

    • Browser tab triage

If Chrome / Edge is open, count your tabs. Each tab can hold 50-500 MB of memory. Discard ones you've forgotten about — they're often the difference between snappy and sluggish.

    • Disk free-space check

An SSD over 85% full slows dramatically — the controller runs out of free blocks for garbage collection. Free up 10% of the drive and re-test.

    Frequently asked

Why is my PC slow all of a sudden?

Most common: Windows / macOS shipped an update that's still indexing in the background, an antivirus scan is running, a browser tab is leaking memory, or a recently installed app added itself to startup. The CPU and memory benchmarks here will show whether one subsystem is uniquely slow vs the whole system being loaded.

How do I find the actual bottleneck?

Look at the wizard's severity grades. CPU benchmark slow but memory fast and storage fast = CPU-limited (heat, throttling, or background load). Storage write/read low MB/s = disk-limited (full SSD or HDD).

    Is 100% disk usage normal?

Brief spikes during boot or app launch — yes. Sustained 100% disk for minutes at idle — no. Usually Windows Search indexer, Windows Update, or a third-party indexing app.
