About

About DeviceCheckOnline Labs.

DeviceCheckOnline Labs is a free, browser-based suite of 110+ online device tests for PCs, laptops, and phones. No accounts. No downloads. No telemetry beyond what your browser shares with our hosting provider in standard request logs.

Why we built this

Every device-testing tool worth trusting used to live in a separate native app — manufacturer utilities, Windows tools, expensive calibration kits. Modern browsers expose enough APIs (Pointer Events with coalesced samples, Gamepad API, Web Audio, MediaDevices, requestAnimationFrame, NetInfo, Battery Status, Sensors API) to measure most of what those tools measured — accurately enough to diagnose real problems, accessibly enough that anyone can use them.

DeviceCheckOnline collects those measurements into one editorial, ad-supported site. Each tool is one URL, one focused canvas, one job. We publish the methodology behind every measurement so you can verify what we're doing — and what we can't do.

What we test

Mice (polling rate, click speed, DPI, chatter, double-click, latency, acceleration), keyboards (N-key rollover, chatter, WPM, key latency, repeat rate), monitors (dead pixel, refresh rate, ghosting, gamma, uniformity, banding), audio (stereo, sweep, tone generator, hearing range), microphones (waveform, noise floor, LUFS, voice gate), webcams (preview, resolutions, green-screen), gamepads, network (speed, latency, bufferbloat, WebRTC), CPU / GPU benchmarks, storage, sensors, battery, touch, system info, and accessibility (color-blindness simulator).

Plus game-tuned hubs for Valorant and CS2 — pro settings, sensitivity converters, crosshair previewers, and the hardware diagnostics that matter for competitive play.

What we don't do

  • No accounts. Nothing to sign up for.
  • No tracking of your results. Your scores live in your browser's localStorage, not on our servers.
  • No paid tier. Every tool is free, no watermarks, no limits.
  • No "exclusive partner" hardware recommendations. When we link to a tool or page, it's because it helps — not because someone paid for placement.

How the site is funded

DeviceCheckOnline is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are kept reasonable in size and placement; they pay the hosting bill and the time spent building new tools. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled and how you can opt out of personalised advertising.

Who runs it

Editorial principles

  • Honest measurement. Each tool documents what it can and cannot measure. Firefox caps mouse polling at ~1 kHz; we say so. Browser-measured refresh rate isn't 100% the same as DisplayPort-reported; we say so.
  • Single-purpose pages. One tool per URL. No dashboards-of-tabs.
  • No dark patterns. No fake "limited time" upsells, no "results saved" buttons that secretly sign you up.
